MEET THE LIGHTING DESIGNER
Created by Adele Locke
Adele Locke founded MINT Lighting Design in 2012. Since then, she and her team have designed over 1,400 homes across Australia and around the world, and she's spent more than 15 years teaching people how to actually see light, not just switch it on. She's a former President of IESANZ, a member of IALD, and has spoken on lighting design to audiences internationally. She's also spent years standing in people's half-built homes explaining why the cheap downlights on their lighting plan won't give them the light they actually want, and will just leave their ceiling looking like Swiss cheese.
This guide is what she wishes every homeowner had before their build started.

This seminar is designed to help anyone interested in light and lighting design gain a little more understanding of this wonderfully complex and important subject.

Maybe. It depends how much experience you have in design, and how complex your design goals are. The aim of Light School is to open your eyes to some of the fundamental elements that are key to understanding light and how to harness it in your own home. By following Adele's advice, you'll be armed with more knowledge about light and how it can be used in a home so you can make informed decisions about the light fittings you want to use in your home and the types of light effects you might want to create. This seminar will not teach you everything you need to know to design light, it will however introduce you to important aspects of light and lighting design and help you see light from an entirely new perspective.
